Kerry & Markey Ask: “How Many Times Do We Have To Be Smacked In The Face?”

A bit of a light-hearted post amongst all the snow and fury this winter:

Sen. John Kerry and other advocates for climate change legislation say data showing that 2010 was tied for the hottest year on record should prompt action.

How many times do we have to be smacked in the face with factual evidence before we address global climate change? Report after report keep confirming it’s getting worse every year,” Kerry (D-Mass.) said in a statement Wednesday.

  1. I’m sure I’d be delighted to smack him in the face as many times as ge wants ….

  2. You just can’t knock sense into some people. Mind you to try to knock sense into Kerry and Markey would take such force as would shatter your bone structure and probably kill them. Best left for them to put their foot in their mouth and choke.

  3. “How many times do we have to be smacked in the face with factual evidence before we address global climate change? Report after report keep confirming it’s getting worse every year,” Kerry (D-Mass.) said in a statement Wednesday.

What exactly is getting worse every year? Lowest ACE hurricane index in over 30 years? The return of heavy snow in winter? Statistically insignificant rise in global mean temps for over a decade? Thermometers placed on airport tarmacs? The urban heat island effect?

Evidence points to cooling this year then what?

  4. 2010 had little reason to be tied as the warmest year unless the world is indeed still warming.

The year 2010 is tied with, 1998, had a stronger el nino and wasn’t in a deep solar minimum. So two reasons why 2010 shouldn’t have tied with 1998.

    Methinks the warming continues.

    • With NOAA admiting that it has removed weather stations mostly in high latitudes and high altitudes (The coldest regions) and thus have to “estimate” what the temperature is in those regions I take anything they say with a grain of salt.

  5. The warming, as Ct-dyslexic-and-proud-to-be correctly states, continues.
Thank the Lord that we’re ramping up T’wise since the LIA.
I’m barely avoiding the mono-orchadism of the alternative and am still enthusiastic about staying similarly endowed until I get screwed down.
Hope that he’s right about the contribution of CO2 to the Global Thermostat otherwise I may get severely brassed off.
